Fall Retreat: Simple Gifts

Dates: October 11-13, 2024

Location: Genesis Spiritual Life Center in Westfield, MA

Prerequisites: CD/AM Week I or equivalent CD/AM workshops with us (approximately 30 hours of mentored moving and witnessing practice, readiness to move for longer sessions, and able to maintain safe boundaries) 

Join me this fall for a Contemplative Dance/Authentic Movement retreat on the theme of replenishment. How might this practice nourish, and offer safe, supportive, perhaps surprising ways for us to be fed by the innate resources of body, heart, mind, imagination and will? We will also invite awareness of what we value, and have, and wonder what (if anything) we yearn for, and what we'd like to offer back/bring out to our inner and outer lives. 

We will practice with a mixture of CD/AM structures relying on inner witnessing as mover and/or witness and the practiced skills of each participant. These will include open question form, round robins, and various ways to reflect on discoveries, including silent witness. I will also offer guided movement meditations exploring these themes in each session, and there will be time for work in additional creative materials. 

I believe that coming together to move and be still and reflect and listen and create and dream with a community of companions is itself a sweet and potent and deliciously simple gift.

Program Costs

Tuition (sliding scale):* $450 / $400 / $350

Genesis In-Residence Fee: $380 per person, single room

Genesis Commuter Fee: $80 per person

Sunday Lunch: $15 optional
